APS K-12 Summer Drama Program
Camp Dates: July 14-18 and 21-25 2025
Performance Dates: July 25 & July 26
This year, the APS Summer Drama Program will present Winnie the Pooh, Kids! Drama Camp is open to all Adrian Public Schools K-12 students with Production Camp for 7th-12th, Performance Camp for 2nd-6th, and Creative Drama for K-1 (grade for which student is enrolled for the 2025-26 school year).
7th-12th Production Campers assist with directing, choreography, music, scenic design, construction, costumes, props, light and sound design, and more. They will also engage in a short student written and directed One Act play.
2nd-6th Performance Campers audition and rehearse to perform their show, “Winnie the Pooh, kids” over the course of the 2 week camp. Campers MUST attend every day unless ill.
K-1st Creative Drama Campers meet July 21-25 8:30-10 AM (1 week only). Stories, drama, imagination, and creative play are the focus of these workshops. K-1 students will not perform in the production, but will have free admission for themselves plus one adult to be part of the audience during the performance.
The Summer Drama Program is directed and run by APS staff and theater professionals, and takes place in the APS Julianne and George Argyros Performing Arts Center:

4th-6th Grade Performance Camp: 1:00-4:00 PM (40 spots)
2nd-3rd Grade Performance Camp: 10:00 AM-12:00 PM (40 spots)
Kindergarten-1st Grade Creative Drama: 8:30-10:00 AM (20 spots)
Registration Fee: $75 per student 2nd-12th; $50 per student K-1st
Registration fees help cover production costs, such as props, costumes, and scenery needs. A limited number of scholarships are available. Please contact Emily Gifford, APS Theatre Manager, to inquire about the scholarship application process: egifford@adrian.k12.mi.us
